sat through Veer-Zaara

....yesterday 17 of us drove down to the Somerville theatre in Boston to watch the biggest hit of the year 2004 so far. ShahRukh Khan hams as usual. He plays an air force pilot but the way he walks in uniform he wouldn't have got through our NCC parade in IIT Kgp leave alone Indian Air Force. It looks plain ridiculous when a squadron leader walks like a gay!
...gay!?
pilots can be gays...okay maybe effeminate is a more appropriate word.
the makeup is good...preity n shahrukh do look like they are in their 40s and 50s.
watch out for Akhilendra Mishra(Kroor Singh of Chandrakanta/jailor in veer-zaara)...the man thoroughly out-hams SRK in the final courtroom scene. I just couldn't stop laughing. But all the girls in our group were reaching out for their hankies. Even the 'aunty-ji's sitting nearby were all going sob sob sob. So going by their reaction I think this should be a super hit.
PS: Amitabh n Hema weave magic yet again. Theirs is the most entertaining part of the film
